Angiodermatitis associated with congenital arteriovenous malformation on the elbow.

چکیده
Sir, Angiodermatitis is a common disorder with a clinical and morphological resemblance to Kaposi's sarcoma. In 1965, Mali et al. described the condition ``acro-angidermatitis'' in 18 patients with chronic venous insu¤ciency (1). Other names for this disorder are Stewart-Bluefard syndrome, angiodermatitis, congenital dysplastic angiography, Kaposi-like arteriovenous malformation (AVM) and pseudo-Kaposi's sarcoma. Most of cases associated with congenital AVM have developed in the lower leg. We report here a case of angiodermatitis associated with congenital AVM on the elbow.

Diffuse Pulmonary Arteriovenous Malformation in Children: Essential Value of Contrast Echocardiography in Diagnosis
Pulmonary arteriovenous malformations (PAVM) are abnormal communications between pulmonary arteries and pulmonary veins, and most commonly congenital in nature. Although rare, it is an important consideration in cyanotic patients of unknown cause. We report 3 cases with diffuse PAVM in children with different clinical manifestations and initial diagnosis was made by transthoracic contrast echoc...
متن کاملA Rare Association of Congenital Asplenia with Jejunal Arteriovenous Malformation
BACKGROUND Isolated congenital asplenia is a poorly understood and rare form of primary immunodeficiency, often associated with life-threatening infections. CASE REPORT We encountered a unique case of a 22-year-old asplenic male who presented with severe iron-deficiency anemia secondary to occult gastrointestinal bleeding since age 15. Our extensive work-up confirmed jejunal arteriovenous malfo...
متن کاملCongenital arteriovenous malformation associated with progressive hydrocephalus in a newborn.
Intracranial arteriovenous malformation is rarely presented in newborns or infants. We describe an unusual case of congenital arteriovenous malformation of the brain with multiple sequestered grape-like venous sacs presented with congenital hydrocephalus. This 4-month-old girl born with a large head, presented with progressive hydrocephalus over a period of 4 months. The brain CT showed multilo...
متن کاملArteriovenous malformation and dementia: A case report
Arteriovenous malformation (AVM) is a congenital lesion commonly associated with intracranial hemorrhage. We describe a woman with an AVM (Spetzler-Martin grade V) and presenile progressive dementia. The association between AVM and cognition is discussed.
متن کاملKlippel-Trénaunay Syndrome with Intracranial Arteriovenous Malformation: A Rare Presentation
Klippel-Trénaunay syndrome (KTS) is a rare vascular congenital anomaly affecting less than 200,000 people in the United States. Vascular malformations associated with KTS tend to affect slow flow systems: venous, capillary, and lymphatic systems. The nature of the syndrome leads to a higher risk for the development of arteriovenous malformations. Our case presentation describes a patient with K...
